El proyecto se emplaza en un jardín de una casa ubicada en la colonia Del Valle en la Ciudad de México. Siendo el lugar preferido de los dueños, decidieron crear un espacio de convivencia que se protegiera de la lluvia y el sol sin perderlo de vista. Es así como la cubierta de madera se convierte en la transición entre la casa y el jardín.
La cubierta construida tiene una superficie de 60m2 apoyado sobre tres marcos que delimitan cada una de las zonas del proyecto: Sala, comedor y cocina. Estos marcos soportan una retícula de listones de madera con un peralte de 20 cm orientados en lugares específicos para responder precisamente a la latitud del proyecto. El proyecto garantiza sombras parciales necesarias y, además, permite que la cubierta funcione como ventana al jardín y al cielo.
La construcción incluyó madera como material principal debido a su ligereza, maleabilidad, fácil transportación y, también, es un material recurrente en el diseño original de la casa. La retícula, además de proteger de los rayos directos del sol, crea distintas atmósferas como resultado de las sombras a lo largo del día, en la noche el espacio se transforma y adquiere una calidez a la vista por su distribución de la iluminación.

The project is located in the garden of a house in the Del Valle neighborhood of Mexico City. As the owners' favorite spot, they decided to create a living space that would provide protection from rain and sun without losing the view.
